Hamburgs Sommergärten are coming back!
We are happy to announce that Hamburgs Sommergärten are returning on the 13th of July! The second installment of this event will bring back a lot of green to the inner city.
After the big success of last years event the districts BID Neuer Wall, BID Hohe Bleichen – Heuberg, BID Passagenviertel and the Stadthöfe have decided to repeat it. After hearing all the positive feedback from merchants, tourists and Hamburgers alike, it was out of question to have Sommergärten again in 2020.
Aside from temporarily placed trees and plant tubs every districts has its own special green feature that invites you to take a summer stroll through Hamburgs city centre. In the BID Hohe Bleichen – Heuberg the vases in front of the stores will be stocked with bee-friendly plants and 30 additional trees will be temporarily placed. In the BID Passagenviertel aswell trees will be placed and form a green boulevard. Chairs and recumbencies beneath the trees are the perfect possibility to take a break in the shade after visiting the unique passages. At the southern end of the Neuer Wall opposite to the Stadthausbrücke you will find floral elements in the Stadthöfe that create an ambience of vacationing in France.
At our Neuer Wall trees and seating possibilities will be placed too and herbs and other regional plants on the Fleet ceiling hopefully will inspire some home-gardening. Furthermore we prepared two highlights for you: awnings over the middle section of the Neuer Wall will create a happy, summery atmosphere and at the Bürgermeister Petersen square an art installation will be placed that can be the perfect location for a summer photo-shooting. See for yourself!
When? From the 13th of July until the 29th of August.
Where? BID Hohe Bleichen – Heuberg, BID Neuer Wall, BID Passagenviertel, Stadthöfe Ensemble.
