New trees for Bürgermeister-Petersen-Platz

Several weeks ago, new trees were planted on Bürgermeister-Petersen-Platz.
The old cherry trees were replaced with new Persian ironwood trees.
They are particularly characterised by the interesting colour of their foliage. The mostly red-rimmed leaves are a refreshing green during the summer.
Come autumn, they display magnificent colouring in a multitude of colours, ranging from bright orange-red to a beautiful violet. Importantly, their colouring lasts for a long period, with the foliage surviving the first frost.
Once April arrives, the trees show their blossoms – small, star-shaped buds in raspberry red.
We’re looking forward to a colourful year on Bürgermeister-Petersen-Platz.
